VisionWorks in New York is hiring a licensed Ophthalmic Dispensing Assistant to assist customers with frame and lens selection and dispense eyewear per prescriptions. You will explain products, verify insurance benefits and cooperate with labs and optometrists to ensure accurate prescriptions.

The role requires a High School diploma, state licensure, and strong customer service in a retail setting. Strict privacy standards (HIPAA) apply, and associates must maintain a neat workspace and uphold

Qualifications

• Must have and maintain applicable state licensure for ophthalmic dispensing.
• Ability to explain optical products and prescription interpretation.
• Strong mathematical skills for pricing and discounts.
• Ability to work onsite and interact with customers.
• HIPAA privacy and security adherence.

Responsabilités

• Assist customers in frame and lens selection following SERVE process.
• Provide product information and insurance guidance.

• Maintain dispensing area cleanliness and equipment.
