VisionWorks is hiring a full-time Optical Assistant in New York to help customers select frames and lenses and interpret prescriptions. You will communicate product options, verify benefits with insurance when needed, and ensure proper dispensing with accuracy and attention to privacy standards.

The role emphasizes maintaining a clean workspace, collaborating with the lab and optometrist, and following health protocols while delivering excellent service to clients.

Qualifications

• Must have and maintain applicable state licensure for ophthalmic dispensing.
• Knowledge and demonstrated abilities in explaining optical products, services, the analysis and interpretation of optical prescriptions, fitting and dispensing.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for customer interactions.

Responsabilités

• Assist each customer in frame and lens selection meeting social distance requirements.
• Provide customers with accurate product information regarding frames, lens selections and other services.
• Utilize the SERVE sales process to identify customer needs and establish proper lens recommendations.
• Analyze and interpret patients' prescriptions and coordinate with Lab and Optometrist for accuracy.
• Sell, fit and dispense frames and accessories with accurate measurements and adjustments.
• Maintain a clean and orderly dispensing area and ensure pricing accuracy.
• Adhere to HIPAA and privacy policies and participate in required training.
