Job summary

VisionWorks in New York seeks an Optician/Customer Associate to assist customers with frame selection and dispensing, interpreting prescriptions, and providing accurate information on frames, lenses, and services.

Qualifications

• Must have and maintain applicable state licensure for ophthalmic dispensing.
• Knowledge and demonstrated abilities in explaining optical products, the analysis and interpretation of optical prescriptions, fitting and dispensing.

Responsibilities

• Assist each customer in frame and lens selection meeting social distance requirements.
• Ensure compliance with social distancing, cleaning protocols and hygiene practices.
• Provide customers with accurate product information regarding frames, lens selections and other services.
• Provide customers with information regarding benefits and charges not covered by third-party insurance.
• Utilize the SERVE sales process to identify customer needs and establish proper lens recommendations.
