Job summary

BJ’s Wholesale Club is hiring an Optical Manager to lead the in-store Optical department, coach staff, and ensure timely order processing with the lab. You will interact with Members, confirm appointments, and maintain department standards.

The role requires an active optician license, strong leadership, and a focus on delivering excellent customer service while managing daily operations and compliance requirements.

Qualifications

• Must be licensed to work as an optician within the State and keep license up to date and active.
• Knowledge of optical products and business practices preferred.
• High school diploma, college degree, and/or wholesale/retail/optical/management experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provides high level Member service, including answering calls and scheduling eye exams.
• Manages Optical department team members, training, and coaching while ensuring HIPAA compliance.
• Oversees all sales opening/closing procedures and ensures accurate payments at the point of service.
• Educates patients on available products to meet visual needs and drives sales and metrics.
