Job summary

Bon Secours Mercy Health in Kentucky is seeking an Occupational Therapist at Marcum & Wallace Hospital to join a faith-based, patient-centered system. The OT will assess patients, develop treatment plans, document progress, and provide services across outpatient, inpatient, pediatric, and off-site settings in collaboration with the care team and participate in patient care conferences.

Qualifications

• Licensed OT in state of practice or eligible trainee/temporary license
• BLS certification preferred or required within 30 days for certain locations
• 2 years of experience in equivalent setting preferred

Responsibilities

• Review physician referrals and patient history to determine therapy needs.
• Conduct and document patient evaluations, re-evaluations, and treatment plans per department protocols.
• Administer prescribed OT treatments and create custom equipment for individual needs.
• Develop programs focusing on functional skills, vocational training, daily activities and motor skills.
• Monitor progress and adjust treatment goals; participate in patient care conferences.
• Educate patients and families on at-home treatment procedures.
