Job summary

ASPYRE of Bronzeville in Chicago is seeking an experienced Administrator to lead our skilled nursing facility. The Administrator will oversee daily operations, provide leadership to department directors and staff, ensure regulatory compliance, and drive quality, financial, and operational performance.

The ideal candidate is a strong healthcare leader with skilled nursing experience who is committed to creating a culture of accountability, teamwork, and resident-centered care.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required; degree in Business Administration or Health Administration preferred.
  • Current, unencumbered Illinois Nursing Home Administrator’s License.
  • Minimum of 2 years of supervisory experience in a skilled nursing facility.
  • Strong knowledge of nursing facility operations, reimbursement, regulatory requirements, and compliance standards.
  • Proven leadership and team management skills.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency with computer systems and office applications.
  • Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.

Responsibilities

  • Plan, develop, organize, implement, and direct the day-to-day operations of the facility and its programs.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to department directors, promoting teamwork and collaboration across departments.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain facility policies and procedures in compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Ensure residents’ rights, quality of care, and quality of life standards are upheld at all times.
  • Interpret and communicate facility policies to staff, residents, families, visitors, and regulatory agencies.
  • Participate in surveys and inspections conducted by authorized government agencies.
  • Oversee risk management, quality assurance, infection control, and performance improvement programs.
  • Monitor facility budgets, financial performance, and resource allocation to meet organizational goals.
  • Lead departmental meetings, training programs, and staff development initiatives.
  • Maintain confidentiality of resident information, including protected health information (PHI).
  • Promote a culture of accountability, compliance, teamwork, and resident-centered care.
  • Work closely with corporate leadership to achieve facility operational and clinical goals.
  • Identify opportunities to improve facility performance, employee engagement, and resident satisfaction.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned by the Director of Operations.
