Job summary

Eastern New Mexico Medical Center in Roswell, NM, is seeking a Licensed Master Social Worker (MSW) for a PRN day shift. The Social Worker provides psychosocial assessments, counseling, discharge planning, and resource connections to support patients across all ages.

The role requires an MSW from a CSWE-accredited program, LMSW licensure, and BCLS certification, with 2–4 years of healthcare social work experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Master's Degree in Social Work (MSW) from a CSWE-accredited program is required.
• 2-4 years of clinical social work experience in a healthcare setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conduct age-appropriate psychosocial assessments across neonatal to geriatric patients.
• Provide counseling and resource education to patients and families.
• Coordinate discharge planning and post-acute care services.
• Facilitate referrals to internal and external services (mental health, social services, support groups).
• Manage high-risk referrals and complex psychosocial cases, including end-of-life care as needed.
• Provide crisis intervention and support for patients and families in distress.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and case managers to support care planning.
