Job summary

Summit Mortgage Corporation is hiring licensed Mortgage Loan Officers at our corporate headquarters in Plymouth, MN and at multiple-state branches. You will develop loan applications by evaluating applicant information and documenting, building relationships, and producing high quality loans with excellent customer service.

Compensation is primarily commission based, with earnings determined by your production and performance.

Qualifications

• Must be licensed as an MLO under SAFE Act.
• Two years of mortgage loan origination experience preferred.
• Ability to type at least 50 wpm with high accuracy.
• Knowledge of mortgage product guidelines (FHLMC/FNMA, FHA/VA).

Responsibilities

• Develop lending relationships with Realtors, builders, developers, and other loan referral sources to generate loan volume in the market area.
• Meet with potential customers and assess their loan needs.
• Engage in marketing and promotional activities to increase prospects.
• Obtain required documentation from prospective borrowers.
• Lock loan terms with the end investor once the borrower agrees on product and terms.
• Maintain regular contact with borrowers from application to investor closing and attending closings as needed.
