A Special Opportunity for a Therapist Interested In Working With Couples

Sunrise Counseling & Wellness Center is seeking a warm, compassionate therapist who is passionate about helping couples strengthen their relationships, improve communication, and navigate life's transitions together.

We are particularly interested in finding a clinician who enjoys couples work and is excited to build a balanced caseload that includes both couples and individual clients.. Experience with the Gottman Method, Emotionally Focused Couples Therapy or other evidence-based couples therapy approaches is a plus. We also welcome clinicians who are eager to develop their skills in couples therapy with appropriate clinical support, consultation, and continuing education.

Whether you are fully licensed or pre-licensed and eligible to practice under applicable Illinois requirements, this is an opportunity to grow your clinical identity while having the referrals, resources, and administrative infrastructure of an established practice behind you.

Position at a Glance

• Credentials: LCSW, LSW, LCPC, LPC, LMFT, or AMFT

• Clinical session rate: $55–$65 per clinical session, based on credential, clinical experience, and applicable role requirements
• Cancellations/no-shows: Paid at the clinician's clinical session rate
• Supervision and group consultation: Paid at the applicable administrative hourly rate
• Paid documentation/administrative time: Full-time clinicians receive one paid hour per week at $22/hour for notes and coordination of care with other providers
• Part-time caseload: 10–12 clients per week
• Full-time caseload: 20–24 clients per week
• Schedule: Flexible scheduling, including a four-day work week option
• Evenings: Preference will be given to clinicians who can commit to two in-person evening shifts per week
• Weekends: No weekends required

What Your Work Week Looks Like

We believe flexibility and sustainability are essential to doing good clinical work.

Our scheduling model includes:

• A four-day workweek option
• Flexible scheduling with multiple schedule options
• Six-hour daily shifts with a protected one-hour break
• No more than three consecutive sessions without a break
• Full-time caseload expectation of 20–24 clients per week
• Part-time caseload expectation of 10–12 clients per week
• Hybrid work (we offer in-person and virtual sessions to clients)
• No weekends required
• Preference for clinicians who can commit to two in-person evening shifts per week

Our goal is to create a sustainable clinical schedule that allows therapists to provide excellent care while maintaining time and energy for life outside of work.

Compensation

We are seeking a therapist who is warm, compassionate, clinically skilled, and genuinely invested in the therapeutic relationship.

Qualifications

• Master's degree or higher in social work, counseling, clinical psychology, marriage and family therapy, or a related field
• Active Illinois credential appropriate to the role: LCSW, LSW, LCPC, LPC, LMFT, or AMFT
• Eligibility to provide clinical services within the scope of your credential and applicable Illinois supervision requirements
• Experience providing psychotherapy, or relevant clinical training and experience appropriate to your credential
• Understanding of evidence-based therapeutic practices
• Commitment to client-centered, strengths-based care
• Strong collaboration and communication skills
• Comfort using Google Workspace
• Experience with practice management software such as SimplePractice or TherapyNotes is a plus
