Job summary

Wellpath seeks a Licensed Mental Health Professional to deliver intake evaluations, therapy, and suicide prevention in a correctional setting. You will develop treatment plans and document care following policy, while supporting inmate wellbeing.

This full-time role features a Sunday–Thursday eight-hour day shift (40 hours/week) with on-call duties, offering collaborative, evidence-based care within a multidisciplinary team.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology or related mental health field.
• 1+ year of experience in a Mental Health treatment program.
• Unrestricted, current license in the State of practice – e.g. LCSW, LMFT, LPC, LMHC, Psychologist. Must maintain licensure and ongoing education.

Responsibilities

• Conduct screening, assessments, and triages for inmates referred by security or healthcare staff and provide level-of-care recommendations.
• Develop and implement treatment plans, conduct psychoeducational and transitional groups, and provide suicide prevention interventions.
• Respond to sick call requests, support medication adherence, and coordinate with prescribing providers for evaluations.
• Provide crisis intervention and monitor clinically the needs of caseload; participate in multidisciplinary meetings.
• Train staff on mental health topics and document findings in the health record per policies.
