Job summary

Wellpath in Michigan seeks a Licensed Mental Health Professional to deliver intake evaluations, therapeutic interventions, and suicide prevention within a correctional facility. You will develop treatment plans, monitor caseloads, and coordinate with prescribing providers for medication evaluations while maintaining documentation in line with policies.

The role is full-time, day shift (32 hours/week), rotating weekends, with compensation information provided.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology or related mental health field.
• 1+ year of experience in a Mental Health treatment program, preferably in a correctional or hospital setting.
• Unrestricted, current license in the State of practice – e.g. LCSW, LMFT, LPC, LMHC, Psychologist.

Responsibilities

• Conduct intake evaluations and assess inmates referred by security or healthcare staff.
• Provide therapeutic interventions and suicide prevention techniques.
• Develop and monitor treatment plans for inmates on caseload.
• Coordinate with prescribing providers for medication evaluations and promote adherence.
• Provide staff training and document findings in health records in compliance with policies.
