Job summary

Gotham Enterprises Ltd is seeking a licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) to provide remote telehealth counseling to Iowa clients. This full-time role features a fixed Monday–Friday schedule from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM and offers a salary range of $115,000 to $120,000 per year.

The position requires an active LMHC license and a master’s degree in counseling or a related field. Responsibilities include conducting video sessions, completing intake visits, and providing short-term or ongoing

Qualifications

• Comfortable providing care in a remote/telehealth setting.

Responsibilities

• Provide counseling via video sessions with a set schedule.
• Conduct initial visits and gather relevant background information.
• Deliver short-term or ongoing counseling based on client needs.
• Document key details from each session accurately.
• Discuss high-risk or difficult cases with supervising clinicians as needed.
• Maintain patient confidentiality and comply with Iowa LMHC ethics and practice standards.

The Job

We're looking for an Iowa-licensed LMHC to provide counseling by video. You'll have a set schedule of appointments and work with clients who come in with a variety of personal and mental health concerns. The day is mainly about being present with clients, keeping sessions purposeful, and handling the clinical work that comes with each appointment.

What You'll Spend Your Time On

• Seeing clients for scheduled video sessions
• Completing first visits and gathering relevant background information
• Providing short-term or ongoing counseling, depending on the case
• Recording the key details from each appointment
• Discussing difficult or higher-risk cases when another clinician's input is needed
• Addressing urgent concerns according to established procedures
• Working with outside providers when a client is receiving other services
• Keeping client information private and secure
• Meeting Iowa LMHC practice and ethical requirements

Requirements

• Master's degree in Counseling, Mental Health Counseling, or a related field
• Active LMHC license
• At least 1 year of post-licensure counseling experience preferred
• Strong assessment, treatment planning, and documentation skills
• Comfortable providing care in a remote or telehealth setting
• Reliable internet connection and ability to work independently in a professional home office environment
