Job summary

Gotham Enterprises Ltd. seeks a licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) licensed in Iowa to treat adults via telehealth. You will assess mood, anxiety, grief and trauma, provide counseling, and ensure notes and records are up to date while maintaining confidentiality.

The role requires an active Iowa LMHC license, a relevant Master’s degree, and prior therapy experience. Telehealth compliance and strong communication are essential for success.

Qualifications

• Active Iowa LMHC license in good standing.
• Master’s degree in Counseling, Clinical Mental Health Counseling, Psychology, or related field.
• Experience providing therapy or counseling services.
• Strong understanding of assessments, treatment planning, and documentation.

Responsibilities

• Meet with adult clients through scheduled video sessions.
• Listen to what clients are experiencing and help them identify what they want to work on.
• Provide counseling for concerns related to mood, stress, grief, trauma, and life changes.
• Help clients find practical ways to manage difficult emotions and situations.
• Keep session notes and required records up to date.
• Pay attention to changes that may need additional clinical attention.
• Respond appropriately when safety concerns arise.
• Maintain confidentiality and professional boundaries.
• Follow Iowa LMHC licensing and telehealth requirements.

Employment Type: Full-Time
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM–5:00 PM
Salary: $115,000–$120,000 per year with full benefits

About the Role

We are looking for an LMHC licensed in Iowa to work with adults through telehealth. You’ll meet with clients who may be feeling overwhelmed by anxiety, depression, grief, trauma, stress, or changes in their personal lives. Your role is to listen, understand what each client is dealing with, and help them work through those concerns in a way that feels practical and manageable. You’ll also keep your notes current and make sure important concerns are followed up appropriately.
