Your specialty drives your caseload. We match clients by fit, so your depth in perinatal work, ADHD, non-monogamy, grief, or couples work brings you the clients you actually want to see.
You're never the only one who gets it. 60+ colleagues, 100+ specialty areas — peer consult is a quick conversation, and an out-of-scope client becomes a warm handoff instead of a session you dread.
Supervision is a real career track here, with selected, trained supervisors guiding our MHC-LPs and Counselors in Training.
W-2 employment, not a contractor. Benefits, structure, and a practice built to develop your career, from day one.
Multicultural competency. Being able to address identity, culture, and context directly in session is a clinical skill, not an add-on.
Professional growth. Trainings we run ourselves, CE support, and real paths into groups, training, supervision, and leadership.
Next Level Mental Health Counseling is a group practice of 60+ clinicians serving all of New York State, virtually and in person from our Midtown Manhattan and Irvington offices, offering individual, couples, family, and group therapy across 100+ specialty areas to clients ages 6 to 65+.
Dr. Christine Romano built this practice around a pattern she kept seeing from both sides of the room: clients spending their first sessions explaining their culture, identity, or family before the real work could begin, and therapists stretched too thin to be the ones who already understood. Solving one meant solving the other — and that belief still shapes how we practice today, through our commitment to clinical excellence, multicultural competency, inclusivity, and professional growth.
We welcome clinicians from different backgrounds, cultures, languages, identities, and clinical perspectives, and we want people who bring a real point of view to the work.
