Role Description

The Licensed Mental Health Counselor is hybrid role based in Miami, FL. This role involves providing individual, couples, and family counseling using evidence-based modalities aligned with the organization’s holistic approach. Day-to-day responsibilities include conducting psychosocial assessments, developing and updating treatment plans, delivering ongoing therapy sessions, and coordinating care with psychiatric providers and other members of the multidisciplinary team. The counselor will also manage case documentation, maintain accurate clinical records, and ensure compliance with ethical and regulatory standards. Additional duties may include facilitating group therapy, participating in community outreach or education initiatives, and contributing to a supportive, inclusive environment for clients and colleagues.

Qualifications

• Strong foundation in Mental Health and Psychology, with the ability to apply clinical knowledge to diverse populations.
• Demonstrated skills in Treatment Planning, including assessment, goal setting, and evidence-based intervention design.
• Experience in Relationship Counseling, family systems work, or couples counseling to support generational and family-based care.
• Competence in Case Management, including care coordination, referrals, and collaboration with medical and community resources.
• Active state licensure as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) or equivalent credential in Florida.
• Degree in Counseling, Psychology, Social Work, or a closely related mental health field.
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, and documentation skills, with a commitment to ethical, culturally responsive practice.
• Experience with trauma-informed care, crisis intervention, and evidence-based treatments (e.g., CBT, DBT, solution-focused approaches) is highly beneficial.
• Comfort working in an on-site clinical setting and collaborating within a multidisciplinary team.
