Job summary

PanCare of Florida is seeking a licensed mental health professional to provide individual and group therapy, collaborate with a care team, and maintain HIPAA-compliant records in a patient-centered environment.

This role requires a master's degree, active LMHC/LPC license in Florida, BLS, and experience with CBT and trauma-informed care, with a commitment to culturally competent practice and community outreach.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Counseling, Social Work, or related field.
• Active, unrestricted Florida LMHC or LPC license.
• Current BLS.
• Knowledge of CBT, trauma-informed care, and solution-focused therapy.

Responsibilities

• Conduct individual and group therapy sessions for patients with mental health needs.
• Assess patient mental health status, develop personalized treatment plans, and track progress.
• Provide crisis intervention and support for patients experiencing acute distress.
• Collaborate with primary care providers, case managers, and other team members to ensure comprehensive patient care.
• Maintain accurate patient records, ensuring HIPAA compliance.
• Complete clinical documentation in the electronic health record within established timeframes.
• Comply with mandatory reporting laws and organizational protocols related to patient safety, abuse, neglect, and crisis intervention.
• Participate in community outreach and mental health awareness programs.
• Other duties as assigned.

Your responsibilities include the following:

• Conduct individual and group therapy sessions for patients with mental health needs.

Required Qualifications:

• Master's degree in Counseling, Social Work, or related field
• Active,unrestrictedFlorida licensure as a Licensed Mental HealthCounselor(LMHC)or Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC)
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS)
• Strong knowledge of evidence-based therapeutic techniques for individual and group counseling, including cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), trauma-informed care, and solution-focused therapy
• Experience working with a diverse patient populationand providing culturally competent care
• At least 1 year experience in providing mental health counseling

Preferred Qualifications:

• At least 3 years experience in providing mental health counseling in a healthcare or community-based setting
