PanCare of Florida is seeking a Licensed Counselor to deliver compassionate mental health services, including individual and group therapy, crisis intervention, and collaboration with a care team to coordinate patient care.

Requirements include a Master’s degree in Counseling, Social Work, or related field, active Florida LMHC/LPC licensure, current BLS, and at least one year of counseling experience; preferred three years in healthcare or community settings.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Counseling, Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, or related field.
• Active, unrestricted Florida licensure (LMHC/LPC).
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS).
• Strong knowledge of evidence-based therapies (CBT, trauma-informed care, solution-focused).
• Experience with diverse populations and culturally competent care.
• At least 1 year of mental health counseling experience.

Responsabilités

• Conduct individual and group therapy sessions for patients with mental health needs.
• Assess patient mental health status and develop personalized treatment plans.
• Provide crisis intervention and support for patients in acute distress.
• Collaborate with primary care providers, case managers, and other team members to ensure comprehensive care.
• Maintain accurate patient records in the electronic health record.
• Complete clinical documentation within established timeframes and standards.
• Comply with reporting laws and organizational protocols related to patient safety.
• Participate in community outreach and mental health awareness programs.
• Other duties as assigned.

Your responsibilities include the following:

• Conduct individual and group therapy sessions for patients with mental health needs.
• Assess patient mental health status, develop personalized treatment plans, and track progress.
• Provide crisis intervention and support for patients experiencing acute distress.
• Collaborate with primary care providers, case managers, and other team members to ensure comprehensive patient care.
• Maintain accurate patient records, ensuring compliance with HIPAA and other regulatory standards.
• Complete clinical documentation in the electronic health record within established timeframes and organizational standards.
• Comply with all mandatory reporting laws and organizational protocols related to patient safety, abuse, neglect, and crisis intervention.
• Participate in community outreach and mental health awareness programs.
• Other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications:

• Master's degree in Counseling, Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy or related field
• Active, unrestricted Florida licensure as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor or Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC)
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS)
• Strong knowledge of evidence-based therapeutic techniques for individual and group counseling, including cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), trauma-informed care, and solution-focused therapy
• Experience working with a diverse patient population and providing culturally competent care
• At least 1 year experience in providing mental health counseling

Preferred Qualifications:

• At least 3 years experience in providing mental health counseling in a healthcare or community-based setting
