Qualifications

• Active LMHC license in Florida is required.
• Master's degree in Counseling, Psychology, or related field is required.
• Proficiency with evidence-based modalities such as CBT, DBT, or motivational interviewing.
• Strong ability to work within a multidisciplinary medical team.
• Excellent communication, empathy, and patient-centered care skills.
• Proficiency with electronic health records (EHR) systems.

Responsibilities

• Provide individual therapy and counseling to patients with mental health concerns related to chronic illness and endocrine disorders
• Conduct comprehensive mental health assessments and develop personalized treatment plans
• Collaborate with physicians, endocrinologists, and medical staff for integrated care
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation in compliance with HIPAA and regulatory standards
• Offer crisis intervention and risk assessment as needed
• Support patients in coping strategies, stress management, and behavioral health goals
• Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and case consultations
