Dr. Mae Sheikh Ali Endocrine Center in Jacksonville, FL is seeking a skilled Physician Assistant to join our endocrinology practice. You will work with expert physicians to diagnose and manage hormonal and metabolic disorders, delivering patient-centered care.

Responsibilities include evaluating patients, ordering tests, and implementing treatment plans in collaboration with the supervising clinician. A master's in PA studies, PA-C certification, and Florida licensure or eligibility are required.

Qualifications

• Master's degree from an accredited Physician Assistant program.
• Current NCCPA certification (PA-C) required.
• Active Florida state PA license or ability to obtain prior to start date.

• Conduct comprehensive histories and physical examinations, and order/interpret diagnostic tests.

Responsibilities:

• Evaluate, diagnose, and manage patients with endocrine disorders including diabetes, thyroid disease, and adrenal conditions
• Conduct comprehensive patient histories, physical examinations, and order/interpret diagnostic tests
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans in collaboration with the supervising physician
• Provide patient education on disease management, medications, and lifestyle modifications
• Prescribe and monitor medications, adjusting treatment protocols as needed
• Maintain accurate and thorough electronic medical records (EMR) documentation
• Coordinate care with referring providers, specialists, and ancillary healthcare teams

Requirements:

• Master's degree from an accredited Physician Assistant program
• Current NCCPA certification (PA-C) required
• Active Florida state PA license or ability to obtain prior to start date
• Experience in endocrinology, internal medicine, or primary care preferred
• Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skillsExcellent communication and patient-centered bedside manner
• Proficiency with electronic medical records (EMR) systems
