Job summary

PACS is seeking a licensed Medication Aide to assist in administering medications to residents under physician direction, ensuring safety and compliance with policies.

You will document medication administration, report errors, collaborate with nursing staff, and participate in quality assurance and surveys. Must have a high school diploma or equivalent and state-approved Medication Aide training and exam. Proficiency in accurate charting and resident interaction is essential.

Qualifications

• Must possess a high school education or equivalent.
• Licensed Medication Aide with state-approved training and exam.
• Ability to follow facility policies and procedures.
• Ability to document and report accurately.

Responsibilities

• Follow the policies and procedures of the facility governing the administering of medications to residents.
• Note and report errors in the administration of medications.
• Assist in developing procedures to determine what medication errors occur and how to prevent them.
• Accurately and safely prepare, administer, and document medications as ordered.
• Maintain a collaborative working relationship with nursing staff, physicians, and pharmacists.
• Complete required forms, charts, and reports.
