Join LifeWays as an Access Clinician or Outpatient Therapist, where you’ll provide trauma-informed, culturally competent evaluations and connect individuals to the mental health services they need.
Work Schedule:
Monday - Friday 8am to 5pm, No Weekends
As an Access Clinician, you will:
- Conduct thorough intake assessments for Medicaid and other health plans to determine service needs.
- Screen and connect individuals to appropriate community resources and crisis interventions.
- Provide on-call and crisis services in diverse settings, including hospitals, schools, and homes.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of professionals to ensure individuals receive the best possible care.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation to support effective service delivery.
As anOutpatient Therapistyou will:
- Provide therapy and counseling services (individual, group, family) using trauma-informed and recovery-oriented approaches.
- Conduct assessments, diagnoses, and treatment planning to support client goals.
- Facilitate psycho-educational groups (e.g., parenting skills, anger management).
- Deliver evidence-based interventions tailored to client needs (e.g., Trauma-Focused CBT).
- Coordinate care with professionals, social service agencies, and community resources.

Clinician Requirements:
Required Education/Licensure/Certification:
- Clinician I: Master’s degree. Limited Licensed Masters Social Worker (LLMSW), Limited Licensed Professional Counselor (LLPC), Limited Licensed Psychologist (LLP).
- Clinician II: Master’s degree. Fully Licensed Masters Social Worker (LMSW), Fully Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Fully Licensed Psychologist (LP).
- Clinician III: Master’s degree. Fully Licensed Masters Social Worker (LMSW), Fully Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Fully Licensed Psychologist (LP) and is paneled/credentialed to bill for a variety of private insurances or is fully trained/certified to provide licensure supervision within their education and scope of practice.
- Must possess a valid U.S. motor vehicle operator’s license, and successfully complete motor vehicle record check.
Therapist Requirements:
Required Education/Certification/Licensure
- Therapist I: Master’s degree. Limited License in the state of Michigan. Limited Licensed Masters Social Worker (LLMSW), Limited Licensed Professional Counselor (LLPC), Limited Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist (LLMFT), or Temporary Limited Licensed Psychologist (TLLP).
- Therapist II: Master’s degree. Fully Licensed in the state of Michigan. Licensed Masters Social Worker (LMSW), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist (LMFT), or Limited Licensed Psychologist (LLP).
- Therapist III: Master’s degree. Fully Licensed in the state of Michigan with a Certification in an evidence-based practice or treatment model such as DBT, or CBT, or TF-CBT, or PMTO, or EMDR.
Preferred Education/Certification/Licensure
- Certification in an evidence-based practice or treatment model such as DBT, or CBT, or TF-CBT, or EMDR, or PMTO.
