Job summary

AdventHealth in Orlando, FL is seeking a PRN Massage Therapist to join our hospital-based wellness program. You will establish individualized treatment plans, document patient progress, and collaborate with medical staff to provide high-quality care across age groups.

Candidates should have an LMT license, basic computer skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced clinical setting. This is a PRN, on-site role with responsibilities including patient assessments, charts, and treatment

Qualifications

• Entry level clinical competency in massage therapy and related practices is required.
• Proficient with basic computer tools including Outlook, MS Office, and Windows.
• Able to read, write, speak, and understand conversational English.

Responsibilities

• Establish, implements, and adapts individualized treatment plans with goals and activities.
• Document all proceedings to ensure program quality and meet hospital standards.
• Record medical history and other pertinent info in notes at time of occurrence.
• Promote massage program within hospital, community, and to medical staff.
• Maintain supplies and a clean, orderly work environment.
• Assist with business office and technical duties as needed.
• Assess and treat across pediatric to geriatric age groups, adjusting as required.
• Discharge patients when maximum benefit is achieved per practice standards.

Job Description

• Location: Based at 600 Courtland Street but will be required to travel throughout Central Florida to attend events as needed.
• Schedule: Events as needed on PRN basis.
• Establishes, implements, and adapts individualized treatment plans, including goal setting, treatment activities, and frequency.
• Documents all proceedings accurately to ensure program quality and meet hospital and department standards.
• Records additional pertinent information such as medical history in notes and other appropriate forms at the time of occurrence.
• Maintains area-specific productivity standards and markets the massage program in the hospital, community, and to medical personnel as indicated.
• Monitors and communicates supplies needed for job tasks to the designated person.
• Maintains a professional and functional work environment by keeping equipment and work areas clean, appropriately stocked, and orderly.
• Assists with business office and tech job duties as required.
• Utilizes knowledge of growth and development for pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric groups by assessing, treating, educating, and communicating age-specific factors.
• Discharges patients when maximum benefit is achieved or according to standards of practice and payer guidelines.
• Other duties as assigned.
• Charges patients accurately and in a timely manner.
• Performs evaluations and re-evaluations using recommended techniques and standards.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Entry level clinical competency of Massage therapy, specific practice, theory, principles, and application [Required]
• Basic computer skills to include Outlook, Microsoft Office, and Windows [Required]
• Must be able to read, write, speak, and have good comprehension of conversational English [Required]

Work Experience

• 1+ year providing massage therapy in a licensed environment [Preferred]

Licenses and Certifications

Pay Range

$20.58 - $32.92
