American Cruise Lines seeks Licensed Engineers to supervise the technical operation and maintenance of propulsion, electrical, and auxiliary systems aboard our vessels. You will provide 24-hour response to machinery issues and coordinate with Regional Port Engineers to schedule repairs and training.

Qualifications

• Valid Merchant Mariner Credential (MMC) required.
• Experience with diesel machinery, hydraulics, and electrical systems.
• TWIC – Transportation Worker Identification Card.
• Pre-employment drug test and random testing.
• Ability to live and work aboard for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot shipboard machinery, including propulsion, auxiliary, and electrical systems.
• Provide 24-hour response for technical issues and emergencies.
• Support docking, logistics, and operational maintenance as needed.
• Implement maintenance schedules to keep equipment in optimal condition.
• Ensure compliance with maritime regulations and safety standards.
• Document maintenance, repairs, and inventory; oversee contractor repairs.
