Job summary
American Cruise Lines seeks licensed engineers to oversee shipboard propulsion, auxiliary, and electrical systems. You will perform maintenance, troubleshooting, and emergency response to ensure safe operation and compliance with maritime regulations while living aboard on a year-round, 4 weeks on/4 weeks off rotation.
Ideal candidates have MMC and TWIC, experience with diesel and electrical systems, and strong teamwork and problem-solving abilities.
Qualifications
- MMC credential required.
- Experience with diesel machinery, hydraulics, and electrical systems.
- TWIC card required.
- Pre-employment drug test and ongoing random testing.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to follow technical procedures and maintain systems.
Responsibilities
- Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot shipboard machinery, propulsion, and electrical systems.
- Provide 24-hour response to technical issues and emergencies.
- Coordinate maintenance, repairs, and preventive maintenance.
- Ensure compliance with maritime regulations and company safety standards.
- Document maintenance, repairs, and inventory; supervise contractors as needed.
- Collaborate with Hotel Officers and Service Crew to support five-star guest service.
