Job summary

Walmart is recruiting for a low voltage technician to install, test, and support security, CCTV, and related systems at retail locations. The role involves wiring, testing, and ensuring regulatory compliance, with emphasis on safety and reliability.

You will collaborate with engineers, project managers, and store teams to meet schedules and quality standards while maintaining documentation and customer service excellence.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent or better.
• Hold and maintain jurisdiction-required certification and license for state work.
• Valid state-issued driver’s license and ability to pass a motor vehicle report.
• Experience reading blueprints, schematics, and wiring diagrams.

Responsibilities

• Sets up, installs, configures, and supports low voltage systems including security systems, fire alarms, CCTV, audio/visual systems, and network cabling.
• Runs, terminates, labels, and tests cabling in accordance with project requirements and industry standards.
• Performs routine inspections, preventive maintenance, and functional testing to ensure system reliability and performance.
• Diagnoses, troubleshoots, and resolves system faults, outages, and performance issues to minimize downtime and restores systems to optimal condition.
• Provides technical support and training to end users on proper operation and basic maintenance of low voltage systems.
