Job summary

Socket.dev is seeking a Licensed Loan Partner (LOA) to support Loan Officers through the loan lifecycle—from application to closing. The role emphasizes organized, compliant file handling and proactive communication with borrowers and partners.

The LOA should be detail-oriented, proactive, and comfortable coordinating with processors and business partners to ensure timely closings.

Qualifications

• Active Mortgage Loan Originator (MLO) license required (Georgia license preferred).
• 1–2 years of experience in mortgage lending, banking, or real estate.
• Strong understanding of loan products, disclosures, and compliance requirements.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Detail-oriented, organized, and able to manage multiple files simultaneously.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and loan origination systems; Encompass experience a plus.
• High school diploma required; associate or bachelor’s degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist Loan Officers with originating, processing, and closing residential mortgage loans.
• Collect and review borrower documentation for accuracy and completeness.
• Communicate regularly with borrowers, real estate agents, title companies, and internal team members to move loans through the pipeline.
• Order and track third-party verifications, appraisals, and title work.
• Input and update borrower information in the LOS.
• Maintain compliance with all lending guidelines.
• Prepare initial disclosures and gather conditions for underwriting.
• Provide updates and next steps to clients throughout the loan process.
• Support the Loan Officer with administrative and customer service tasks as needed.

The Licensed Loan Partner (LOA) supports Loan Officers in every stage of the loan process—from application through closing. This role ensures an exceptional client experience by keeping files organized, compliant, and on track. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, proactive, and comfortable communicating with borrowers, processors, and business partners.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist Loan Officers with originating, processing, and closing residential mortgage loans.
