Job summary

EmpowerHome Mortgage is seeking an experienced Mortgage Loan Officer to help homebuyers find financing solutions while building a strong, consistent pipeline. You will convert qualified leads, guide borrowers through the application, approval, and closing process, and structure FHA, VA, Conventional, and USDA loans based on borrower needs.

The ideal candidate has 1–2+ years of experience, an active NMLS license, and a proven ability to generate business, close loans, and maintain compliance.

Qualifications

• 1–2+ years of experience as a Mortgage Loan Officer or similar role.
• Active NMLS license required.
• Proven ability to generate business, convert leads, and close loans.
• Strong knowledge of mortgage products, lending guidelines, and underwriting requirements.
• Excellent communication, sales, and relationship-building skills.
• Experience with LOS and credit analysis.

Responsibilities

• Convert qualified mortgage leads into funded loans through proactive follow-up.
• Guide borrowers through the mortgage application, approval, and closing process.
• Structure FHA, VA, Conventional, and USDA loan programs based on borrower needs.
• Analyze borrower financials and ensure complete, accurate loan applications.
• Run AUS, review underwriting findings, and maintain lending and compliance standards.
• Prepare pre-approvals and pre-qualifications, lock rates, and price loans.
• Manage an active loan pipeline, deadlines, and customer expectations.
• Build strong relationships with borrowers, real estate agents, and referral partners.
• Stay current on mortgage regulations, lending guidelines, and market trends.
• Consistently meet or exceed monthly and annual loan production goals.

Qualifications

• What We’re Looking For
• 1–2+ years of experience as a Mortgage Loan Officer, Loan Originator, or similar role
• Active NMLS license required

• Strong knowledge of mortgage products, lending guidelines, and underwriting requirements
