Job summary

S:US is seeking an Assistant Program Director in New York to supervise Respite Peer Specialist and Senior Peer Specialists, coordinating daily operations under the Program Director to ensure guest safety and comfort. The role requires a Master’s degree with five years of management experience in social services or behavioral health and a applicable license (LMSW, LPC, etc.).

On-call coverage is required, with collaboration across providers and staff to meet LOS goals.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in a related field with at least five years of management experience in social services or behavioral health.
• Must hold a license aligned with the master’s degree (LMSW, LMHC, LPC, etc.).
• Experience supervising staff in respite, residential, or crisis settings.
• Strong written and oral communication skills; ability to conduct trainings.

Responsibilities

• Supervise Respite Peer Specialist and Senior Peer Specialist.
• Coordinate day-to-day operations and guest safety.
• Conduct weekly utilization reviews and report to Program Director/Regional Director.
• Oversee guest discharge planning and collateral contacts.
• Prepare weekly and monthly program reports and ensure audit readiness.
