Job summary

Knight Electric Inc. seeks a Journeyman Electrician / Field Specialist to perform commercial electrical service, maintenance, troubleshooting, and small-project installs in active occupied buildings. Must hold a valid Journeyman license and strong diagnostic skills.

Travel about 2–3 weeks in the Southeast US (Georgia & Southeast). Housing, travel, per diem, and a company vehicle are provided. This is a full-time role with health/dental/vision and 401K, plus overtime and weekly pay.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 2+ years in a commercial service role.
• Expert-level troubleshooting skills in a commercial setting.
• Must have ability to run and lead small size projects (1-4 electricians)
• Active state Journeyman electrical license or higher required.
• OSHA 10 certification.

Responsibilities

• Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills.
• Ability to work independently in the field with minimal supervision.
• Familiarity with commercial building systems, including lighting controls, switchgear, and distribution equipment.
• Apply advanced knowledge of electrical theory and NEC code.
• Perform NEC calculations.
• Execute all types of conduit bends using various benders.
• Install raceways, boxes, cables, panels, breakers, and transformers.
• Assist with wire pulling and switchboard installation.
• Install light fixtures, devices, and cover plates.
• Connect branch circuits including terminations and equipment.
• Perform basic testing and troubleshooting of electrical systems.
• Read and interpret blueprints and schematics.
• Maintain basic knowledge of control systems and components.

About this role:

The Journeyman Electrician / Field Specialist performs commercial electrical service, maintenance, troubleshooting, and small-project installations across a variety of commercial facilities. This role requires a valid Journeyman Electrician License and strong technical skill in diagnosing and resolving electrical issues in active, occupied buildings.

Compensation:

• $33.00 - $40.00 per hour pending experience and active state electrical license.


• Travel expenses paid


• Vehicle provided


• Fuel card

Travel:

• On average 2-3-week sprints in the Southeast US.


• Most projects are in Georgia and the Southeast US.


• Housing (Airbnb) is paid by company, travel to and from project is covered as well as per diem.


• Company vehicle provided

This is a field job using many physical attributes. In addition to sitting, standing, and walking for extended periods of time, employees should be able to do the following:

Working Conditions:

Work is performed on construction sites in a variety of weather conditions.
