Job summary

R.W. Mercer Co. is seeking Licensed Journeyman Electricians to work independently under the general guidance of a Master Electrician. They will install, repair, and maintain commercial electrical systems, ensuring safety and quality on each project.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalency.
• State of Michigan Journeyman License.
• Valid Driver’s License.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret electrical prints, schematics, and reference material.
• Complete tasks in a timely manner with focus on the job at hand.
• Diagnose and resolve electrical problems.
• Guide and train Apprentice Electricians.
• Take ownership and oversee projects from start to finish.
• Review projects with sales team and project managers.
• Be flexible with working hours and respond to emergencies as needed.
• Acquire proper materials for each project and maintain a clean vehicle.
• Fill out work orders with time and material rates for billing.
