Job summary

U.S. Facilities, Inc. seeks a Licensed Journeyman Electrician to support electrical and mechanical systems on a movable bridges project across Virginia locations including Norfolk, Portsmouth, Newport News, Suffolk, and Virginia Beach.

You will plan repairs, preventive maintenance, and modifications while leading maintenance staff and coordinating work orders. Qualified candidates have a Virginia Journeyman license, CPR/First Aid within 6 months, a high school diploma or GED, and 5 years related

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED; at least 5 years related experience.
Must have a valid Virginia Electrical Journeyman's License (verified in DPOR).
CPR and First Aid certification must be obtained within 6 months of hire.
Must pass a pre-employment criminal background check.
Possession of a valid driver's license is required.

Responsibilities

Leads, guides, and/or trains other electricians or maintenance personnel on applicable procedures and techniques.
Installs and monitors the performance of electrical and mechanical equipment for hazards, adjustments, or replacement as directed.
Repairs, installs, replaces, and tests electrical and mechanical equipment using appropriate tools and test instruments.
Plans electrical secondary system additions or modifications.
May perform work of lower-level electricians or maintenance mechanics
Ensures proper care in the use and maintenance of equipment and supplies; promotes continuous improvement of workplace safety and environmental practices.
