Job summary

22nd Century Technologies, Inc. (TSCTI) invites a licensed Journeyman Electrician to maintain and repair hospital electrical systems, including motors, HVAC components, alarms, lighting, switchgear, transformers, and emergency power.

The role requires troubleshooting with diagnostic instruments, installing/modifying circuits and conduits, and preventive maintenance with NEC compliance. Work is performed with minimal supervision in indoor/outdoor settings, including confined spaces and elevated

Qualifications

• Active Texas State Journeyman Electrician License.
• Current OSHA Certification.
• Experience maintaining and repairing electrical systems including motors, HVAC components, alarms, medical and laboratory equipment, lighting, switchgear, transformers, and emergency power systems.
• Ability to troubleshoot electrical systems using diagnostic instruments.
• Experience installing and modifying electrical circuits and conduits.
• Knowledge of the NEC and electrical safety standards.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and safely perform duties involving voltages up to 4160 volts AC.
• Frequent physical exertion, heavy lifting, and work in indoor/outdoor environments, including confined spaces and elevated locations.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair electrical systems throughout the hospital, including motors, HVAC components, alarms, medical and laboratory equipment, lighting, and major utility infrastructure like switchgear, transformers, and emergency power systems.
• Troubleshoot electrical issues using diagnostic instruments; install/modify circuits and conduits; perform preventive maintenance on motors and control equipment; ensure NEC compliance and safety standards.
• Work with minimal supervision; may oversee helpers; understand hazards of voltages up to 4160 volts AC.
• Frequent physical exertion, heavy lifting, and work in indoor/outdoor environments, including cramped areas or at heights; manage risks like electrical shock and burns.
• Contractor will retain control over supervision and/or contractor personnel during active performance periods of the contract.
• Adhere to Work Hours and Schedule.
