Job summary

UT Southwestern Medical Center is seeking a skilled and dependable Licensed Journeyman Electrician to join our Electrical Shop team. This role installs, repairs, and maintains electrical systems within hospital and academic research environments, providing journeyman-level electrical work.

Qualified candidates will have a valid Journeyman Electrician license from the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation (TDLR) and strong knowledge of codes, tools, and trade practices, with healthcare

Qualifications

Strong knowledge of electrical codes, regulations, tools, materials, and trade practices.
Ability to diagnose and resolve electrical issues with good problem-solving skills.
Customer service skills for hospital and campus environments.

Responsibilities

Repair, install, and maintain electrical systems in hospital and academic environments.
Inspect and test circuits; replace defective wiring and components.
Work from blueprints/diagrams to lay out and connect wiring and panels.
Assist in estimating time and materials; troubleshoot campus lighting.
