Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED equivalent or vocational training.
4 years skilled or journeyman level experience as an Electrician.
Current Journeyman Electrician license issued by the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation (TDLR).

Responsibilities

Repair, install, replace, and test electrical circuits, equipment, and appliances using hand tools and meters.
Inspect and test circuits; isolate wiring defects and replace faulty components.
Install wiring and electrical apparatus using blueprints and diagrams; run conduit and make connections.
Assemble and connect switchboards and distribution panels to units.
Assist in estimating time and material requirements for jobs.
Troubleshoot and maintain campus lighting circuits.
Perform other duties as assigned.
