CURRENT OPPORTUNITY: Licensed Journeyman Electrician

Responsible for installing electrical systems in commercial construction sites and small/medium project locations. Supervises and coordinates helper/apprentice electricians on a per-project basis. Promotes excellent customer relations by interacting with clients to assess needs and provide solutions.

Job Responsibilities
  1. Report to the project site on time, prepared to work.
  2. Show willingness to learn and develop electrical skills.
  3. Apply electrical and construction principles to solve design, development, and modification issues.
  4. Complete work according to national and local codes, staying current with NEC revisions.
  5. Follow company policies and procedures.
  6. Meet daily commitments and adhere to project schedules as directed by the foreman.
  7. Assist with loading materials, trenching, wiring, and other tasks.
  8. Maintain respectful interactions with customers, colleagues, vendors, and other tradespeople.
  9. Keep the job site clean and organized.
  10. Complete and submit necessary paperwork, including timecards.
  11. Follow and enforce safety policies and training.
  12. Troubleshoot common electrical systems, including services, feeders, and circuits.
  13. Plan installations to minimize waste, ensure accessibility, and meet safety standards.
  14. Sketch wiring layouts or follow blueprints and diagrams.
  15. Measure, cut, bend, assemble, and install conduit.
  16. Splice wires and connect wiring to fixtures and equipment.
  17. Install control and distribution devices.
  18. Connect power cables and grounding leads.
  19. Monitor system functioning and perform adjustments or repairs as needed.
  20. Perform small electrical projects as a service electrician.
  21. Travel as required.
  22. Perform other duties as assigned.
Job Requirements
  • High School diploma or G.E.D.
  • At least 4 years of experience in electrical installations.
  • Reliable transportation.
  • Necessary hand tools for electricians.
  • Manual dexterity and multitasking ability.
  • Advanced electrical knowledge.
  • Valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
  • Applicable state certification.
