Job summary

Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center is seeking a licensed HVAC Technician to maintain, repair and install HVAC systems across our facilities. You will operate air handlers, refrigeration equipment and related controls.

Qualifications include HVAC training, MA Refrigeration Technician License within 1 year, CFC Universal Certificate, 3–5 years of related work, and strong BAS knowledge. You must be able to respond to emergencies and complete routine record keeping.

Qualifications

• HVAC trade training or certification is required.
• Massachusetts Refrigeration Technician License must be obtained within 1 year of hire.
• CFC Universal Certificate (Certificate 1) is required.
• 3–5 years of related HVAC work experience.
• Strong familiarity with Building Automation Systems.

Responsibilities

• Perform repairs and maintenance of heating, cooling, and ventilating components.
• Operate, install, repair and maintain mechanical equipment such as air handlers, exhaust fans, valves, and controls.
• Respond to emergencies during off-shift hours as directed by supervision.
• Complete daily records and reports as part of routine duties.
• Assist in training new personnel on equipment and systems.
