Affinity Funeral Services in Richmond, VA seeks a licensed Funeral Director/Embalmer to support daily operations at the funeral home. You will assist families with compassionate service, coordinate arrangements, and ensure regulatory compliance.

The role requires on-call availability on a rotating schedule, valid Virginia license, and 1–3 years of experience in funeral directing. This full-time position offers a collaborative work environment and opportunities to contribute to a caring community.

Formación

• Licensed Funeral Director in Virginia or ability to reciprocate.
• 1–3 years or more of Funeral Directing preferred.
• Driver's license with clean driving record.
• Adhering to the dress code of the funeral home.
• Willingness and ability to be on call on a rotating schedule.

Responsabilidades

• Participate in all daily activities at the funeral home, including arrangements, services, and removals as needed, embalming, dressing, casketing.
• Counsel with families and coordinate arrangements for funeral, cremation, and cemetery services.
• Explain product and service options to families and assist with selections.
• Execute and finalize financial arrangements for purchases and secure payment per policy.
• Assist with visitations, services, and setup.
• Maintain all paperwork and administrative policies for the deceased.
• Maintain licensure and certifications to meet regulations.
• Adhere to company policies and procedures at all times.
• Assist in transferring cremated remains and preparing urns/keepsakes.
• Participate in building and grounds upkeep and general tidying.
• Take on additional responsibilities as assigned by the Manager.
• Contribute to a strong team and supportive culture.
• If applicable, perform embalming and cosmetology in line with standards.
