Job summary

Stone Ridge Equine Care and Vetcor in Evansville, IN is seeking a Licensed Equine Veterinary Technician (CVT/LVT/RVT) to join our high-volume practice.

You will provide nursing care to hospitalized horses, assist veterinarians, operate advanced equipment, and educate clients. This full-time role offers competitive pay based on experience and licensure, with a schedule of four weekdays and one weekend per month.

Qualifications

  • Current CVT, LVT, or RVT credential required.
  • Minimum of 1 year equine veterinary technician experience preferred.
  • Strong horse handling and restraint skills.
  • Confidence in a fast-paced clinical environment.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

  • Provide treatments and nursing care to hospitalized equine patients.
  • Assist veterinarians during examinations, diagnostics, treatments, and procedures.
  • Operate advanced equipment including digital radiography, ultrasound, shockwave therapy, laser therapy, Digatherm, and gastroscopy equipment.
  • Prepare and administer medications, vaccines, and treatments as directed.
  • Perform venipuncture, catheter placement, fluid therapy, and diagnostic sample collection.
  • Monitor anesthesia and assist during surgical procedures.
  • Perform in-house laboratory testing and process referral laboratory samples.
  • Maintain accurate medical records and patient documentation.
  • Educate clients regarding medications, patient care, laboratory results, and discharge instructions.
  • Support surgical and dental procedures including preparation, monitoring, recovery, and instrument care.
  • Collaborate with teammates to maintain efficient workflow and a positive clinic culture.

Position Details

Role: Licensed Equine Veterinary Technician (CVT/LVT/RVT)

Status: Full-time

Salary: Negotiable and based on experience & licensure

Schedule: Four weekdays per week plus one weekend per month
