What You Can Expect To Be Doing

Haley Ward seeks a motivated Project Manager to lead our Environmental Service Line, providing strategic, technical leadership, and expanding our client base in Connecticut and New England. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in site investigation, risk assessment, and remediation under CERCLA, RCRA, TSCA, and regional state programs, with a Licensed Environmental Professional (LEP) designation.

You will leverage your leadership, client relationships, and consulting experience to grow Haley Ward’s business, collaborating with a multidisciplinary team from Maine to Florida. This role offers a chance to advance your career while delivering exceptional client value across various sectors.

Key Position Responsibilities
  • Manage complex site investigation and remediation projects, overseeing multidisciplinary teams in Connecticut and New England, ensuring quality within scope, schedule, and budget.
  • Collaborate across teams to ensure seamless project execution and knowledge sharing.
  • Develop strategic plans, provide technical leadership, and support financial growth.
  • Actively contribute to business development, including proposal writing and securing new work.
  • Leverage client relationships to enhance visibility and reputation.
  • Support cross-selling of services to provide comprehensive solutions.
  • Mentor staff, support recruitment, and foster a collaborative work environment.
  • Build internal relationships to strengthen company culture.
What You Will Need To Succeed
  • Bachelor's Degree in engineering, geology, environmental science, or related; Masters preferred.
  • Connecticut Licensed Environmental Professional required.
  • Additional licensures (e.g., Professional Engineer, Licensed Site Professional) preferred.
  • Minimum 6 years of related experience; 12+ years preferred.
  • Experience managing teams and mentoring junior staff.
  • Knowledge of emerging contaminants and remediation technologies.
  • Proven success in proposal writing and project acquisition.
  • Excellent communication and strategic thinking skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • Strong understanding of New England regulatory environment.
