Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• 5 years of progressively responsible electrical experience.
• Experience in commercial, institutional, healthcare, manufacturing, or residential environments as needed.
• Valid Journeyman Electrician License required.
• State Electrical License where applicable.
• Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record.
• OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, repair, and troubleshoot electrical systems, equipment, and components per NEC and local/state codes.
• Read and interpret blueprints, electrical schematics, technical drawings, and specifications.
• Diagnose electrical malfunctions using testing equipment, meters, and diagnostic tools.
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on electrical systems and equipment.
• Install and maintain emergency power systems, backup generators, transfer switches, and related equipment.
• Inspect completed work for quality, safety, and code compliance.
• Respond to emergency electrical service calls and outages as needed.
• Coordinate with contractors, vendors, and other maintenance personnel on projects.
• Maintain accurate records of repairs, inspections, and maintenance activities.
• Identify energy efficiency opportunities and improve reliability of electrical systems.

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Licensed Electrician / Journeyman Electrician to support the safe, reliable, and efficient operation of our electrical systems and infrastructure. This position is responsible for installing, maintaining, repairing, troubleshooting, and inspecting electrical systems and equipment while ensuring compliance with applicable local, state, and national electrical codes.

The ideal candidate brings strong technical expertise, a commitment to safety, and the ability to diagnose and resolve electrical issues effectively. This role also supports facility operations, construction and renovation projects, and preventive maintenance activities.

What You'll Do

• Install, maintain, repair, and troubleshoot electrical systems, equipment, and components, including wiring, conduit, panels, transformers, motors, generators, lighting systems, and controls.
• Read and interpret blueprints, electrical schematics, technical drawings, and specifications.
• Diagnose electrical malfunctions using testing equipment, meters, and diagnostic tools.
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on electrical systems and equipment.
• Install and maintain emergency power systems, backup generators, transfer switches, and related equipment.
• Ensure electrical work complies with the National Electrical Code (NEC), applicable state regulations, and company safety standards.
• Inspect completed work to verify quality, safety, and code compliance.
• Respond to emergency electrical service calls and outages as needed.
• Coordinate with contractors, vendors, and other maintenance personnel on construction and renovation projects.
• Maintain accurate records of repairs, inspections, work orders, and maintenance activities.
• Identify opportunities to improve energy efficiency and the operational reliability of electrical systems.
• Follow established safety procedures, including lockout/tagout (LOTO), personal protective equipment (PPE), and applicable OSHA requirements.
• Assist with developing project estimates, material lists, and labor requirements.

What You'll Bring

• High school diploma or GED.
• Minimum of 5 years of progressively responsible electrical experience.
• Relevant electrical experience in commercial, institutional, healthcare, manufacturing, and/or residential environments based on organizational needs.
• Valid Journeyman Electrician License required.
• State Electrical License where applicable.
• Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
• OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification preferred.
