8-Koi is seeking a skilled Journeyman Electrician to join our Florida-based service and consulting team. The role involves hands-on electrical work, reading blueprints, and ensuring safety and code compliance.

You will install, maintain, troubleshoot, and mentor apprentices while delivering high-quality workmanship across diverse environments in Florida. A valid FL Journeyman license and proven field experience are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; completion of a formal electrician apprenticeship program.
• Valid Journeyman Electrician License in the State of FL.
• Proven experience as a Journeyman in the field.
• Strong knowledge of electrical systems, wiring, and troubleshooting techniques.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.
• Proficient in using electrical tools, meters, and testing devices.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Physical stamina and the ability to work in various environments (confined spaces, heights, outdoors, and in various weather conditions).

Responsibilities

• Perform skilled trade work in accordance with industry standards, codes, and company policies.
• Read and interpret blueprints, technical diagrams, and schematics.
• Inspect electrical components to ensure proper operation.
• Install, repair, maintain, and troubleshoot systems, fixtures or equipment.
• Diagnose electrical malfunctions using appropriate testing devices.
• Perform preventive maintenance to reduce downtime and extend equipment life.
• Inspect completed work to ensure quality, safety, and compliance.
• Ensure compliance with NEC and OSHA codes.
• Troubleshoot and repair control systems, lighting systems, and power distribution equipment.
• Maintain accurate records of repairs, inspections, and installations.
• Follow all safety procedures, wear protective gear, and use lockout/tagout protocols when necessary.
• Collaborate with other trade, supervisors, team members and departments to complete projects on schedule.
• Train, mentor, and oversee apprentices as needed.
