Job summary

G1 Facility Services in Orlando, FL is seeking a Journeyman Electrician to perform electrical installations, maintenance, troubleshooting and repairs in accordance with codes and safety standards. This position will also provide guidance to junior electricians while ensuring projects are completed efficiently and safely.

The role requires Florida license or Journeyman status, 4+ years of electrical experience, a valid driver's license, NFPA 70/70E knowledge, and the ability to obtain an airport

Qualifications

• Florida State Electrician or Journeyman license.
• Minimum four years of electrical experience.
• Valid US driver's license with reliable driving record.
• Full understanding of NFPA 70/70E.
• Ability to obtain airport security badge.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.

Responsibilities

• Perform electrical installations, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs per codes.
• Read, interpret, and understand electrical and mechanical blueprints, wiring diagrams, and schematics.
• Maintain and repair power distribution, fire detection/suppression, HVAC, VFDs, PLCs, lighting systems, and related controls.
• Troubleshoot AC and DC circuits of various voltages.
• Collaborate with other trades to ensure efficient completion of projects.
• Complete preventive maintenance activities and CMMS work orders.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.

With over two decades of experience in the maintenance and construction industries, we are seeking to add a Journeyman Electrician to our dynamic team.

Compensation:

$28.00 - $32.00 per hour (Based on Experience), medical, vision, dental, life insurance, 401k

Available Shift:

Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM. Employees may be required to start earlier or stay later than scheduled based on operational needs, and occasional weekend work may be required based on operational needs.

Job Summary

The Journeyman Electrician is responsible for performing electrical installations, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs in accordance with applicable codes and safety standards. This position will also provide guidance and support to junior electricians while ensuring projects are completed efficiently and safely.

Job Responsibilities

• Perform a variety of electrical trade functions in accordance with local and national electrical codes
• Read, interpret, and understand electrical and mechanical blueprints, wiring diagrams, and schematics
• Maintain and repair power distribution systems, fire detection and suppression systems, HVAC systems, variable frequency drives (VFDs), programmable logic controllers (PLCs), motor controllers, lighting systems, and related controls
• Troubleshoot, repair, and install AC and DC circuits of various voltages
• Troubleshoot and repair facility electrical and mechanical equipment, including pneumatic and hydraulic systems
• Collaborate with other tradespeople to ensure efficient completion of projects
• Complete preventive maintenance activities and work orders using the facility's computerized maintenance management system (CMMS)
• Perform other duties as assigned by management

Requirements

• Florida State Electrician or Journeyman's License (Electrician)
• Minimum of four (4) years of relevant electrical experience
• Valid US driver's license with at least three (3) years of driving experience; approval and final decisions are subject to our automobile insurance carrier's criteria
• Complete understanding of the National Electrical Code (NFPA 70 and 70E)
• Must be able to obtain and maintain an airport-issued security identification badge
• Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift, carry, push, or pull up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to work at heights, in confined spaces, and in outdoor conditions, including exposure to Florida heat and weather
• Ability to stand, kneel, crouch, and climb ladders or lifts for extended periods
