Responsible for inspecting, repairing, installing, modifying, and maintaining electrical/electronic systems, circuits, and equipment. Works from blueprints, sketches, and wiring diagrams, utilizing voltmeters, meggers, ampmeters, leakage test recorders, and other equipment to maintain electrical systems and equipment on a regular schedule, following hospital policies and procedures.
Broad training in the electrical field, requiring advanced shop mathematics, and the use of complicated drawings, specifications, and precision measuring instruments. An electrician license is required. Basic computer skills are helpful. Typically, 1-3 years of experience are required.
