Job summary

Kelly Services is seeking a Licensed Electrician in Dillard, Oregon for a direct-hire role with a leading production company. The position focuses on skilled electrical maintenance including installation, troubleshooting, and compliance with safety standards.

You will work on AC/DC motors, drives, conveyors, and PLC-controlled systems, requiring strong problem-solving, tool proficiency, and teamwork in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED; vocational/technical cert optional.
  • 4+ years in industrial maintenance or equivalent education.
  • Overtime, weekends, on-call and rotating shifts required.
  • Proficient with hand & power tools and electrical schematics.
  • Experience reading drawings, troubleshooting with meters/oscilloscopes.
  • Comfort with PLC controls and process instrumentation.

Responsibilities

  • Perform advanced electrical maintenance, including equipment installation.
  • Repair PMs and troubleshoot AC/DC motors, drives, conveyors, and packaging systems.
  • Diagnose breakdown causes and restore equipment to operation.
  • Adhere to lockout/tagout and plant safety rules; maintain clean work area.
  • Work independently or in teams; learn new skills as needed.
  • Other duties as assigned; uphold company values.

Job description

Kelly has an exciting Direct Hire opportunity available for a Licensed Electrician in the Dillard, Oregon area! This role is an integral part of a leading production company that has a team of passionate professionals that value safety, integrity, and excellence in all that they do!

Key Responsibilities
  • Performs highly skilled electrical maintenance tasks including equipment installation
  • Repair and PM electrical machinery; this may include, but not limited to, such equipment as AC/DC motors, drives, pneumatic, hydraulic, conveyors and packaging systems and instrumentation and PLC controls
  • In downtime situations, must be able to analyze cause of breakdown with equipment
  • Must also determine and complete maintenance repairs required to return the equipment to effective operating conditions
  • Follow and adhere to safety lockout procedures and strictly adhere to plant safety rules as well as follow excellent housekeeping practices to help maintain a clean work environment
  • Must be able to work independently as well as in a group
  • Performs other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Stable employment history with a minimum of four (4) years of experience in Industrial Maintenance work AND/OR equivalent education to include vocational/technical school certificate/diploma
  • Willing and able to work overtime, weekends, on-call and rotating shifts and holidays
  • Proficient in the use of hand and power tools
  • Experience with reading electrical drawings and schematics
  • Troubleshooting experience, including the use of necessary test instruments such as digital multi-meter, oscilloscope, megger, etc.
  • Experience using a computer for record keeping and documentation
  • Able to work in extreme heat/cold, navigate catwalks and ladders
  • Physical ability to perform the essential physical functions of the position, which includes climbing stairs, lifting up to 50 pounds, stooping and bending
  • Ability to communicate effectively and constructively
  • Comprehension of complex work instructions and documentation
  • Ability to work with mathematical concepts in an industrial environment
  • Team oriented
  • Willing and able to learn new jobs and skills
  • A personal and total commitment to observe all safety rules and regulations including NEC and NFPA70E (including LOTO and Arc Flash)
  • Knowledge of DC motors and motor controls
  • Knowledge of AC motors and motor controls
  • Knowledge of DC, VFD, and servo drives
  • Knowledge of single phase and 3-phase power distribution systems
  • Knowledge of various process instrumentation, including pressure, flow, temperature, level, weight, etc
  • Knowledge of PLC controls, HMI operator interfaces, and control systems networking
  • Working knowledge of basic industrial mechanical issues
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with CMMS
  • Knowledge of fire alarm and protection systems
  • Experienced in pneumatic, hydraulic, and conveyor systems
  • Excellent skills in root cause analysis
  • Previous experience in Rockwell Software RSLogix5000 and FactoryTalk View Studio (Editor, Me, and SE), AB PowerFlex VFD's and Kinetics Servos, and Ethernet IP networks using AB Stratix switches
