Job summary

One Brooklyn Health System Inc. is seeking a Creative Arts Therapist to plan and deliver therapy programs for young adult residents. You will provide 1:1 and group sessions, maintain engaging activities, and coordinate with families to support bonding and emotional coping.

The role requires a Master’s in Music Therapy, NYS LCAT licensure or eligibility, and experience with pediatric/young adult populations in clinical settings. Staff supervision and policy adherence are expected.

Qualifications

• Master’s Degree in Music Therapy, required.
• Must be board certified and licensed as a NYS Creative Arts Therapist (LCAT) or eligible.

Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 and group Creative Arts Therapy sessions to patients and families.
• Maintain an age-appropriate curriculum of therapeutic activities and community outings.
• Evaluate patients via interviews, assessments, and observations to tailor treatment.
• Maintain accurate daily records, progress notes, and documentation in medical records.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team to align treatment plans.
• Supervise interns and trained volunteers; provide staff education.
• Support family-centered care and coordinate family counseling and visits.
• Ensure compliance with Kingsbrook/Rutland policies and infection control.
