Madison Reed seeks a General Manager - Licensed Cosmetologist to lead a Hair Color Bar team, set the roadmap for success, and deliver an exceptional guest experience aligned with our brand values.

The role reports to the District Manager, is full time, and requires weekend and holiday availability. Base salary is $70,304 with potential monthly bonuses based on performance and geographic factors.

Qualifications

• Active cosmetology license in the state you are applying.
• 2+ years of salon and retail experience.
• 2+ years of operational management experience.
• 2+ years supervising other team members and participating in hiring, training and scheduling.
• Strong level of technical proficiency as a colorist.
• Proven track record of exceeding key operational and performance metrics.
• Fluency in English.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate and continue to develop leadership skills to provide a top tier employee and guest experience aligned with our values.
• Lead by example through sales and service behaviors and resolve guest service issues.
• Ensure all aspects of the business are staffed and resourced and manage bookings, services and memberships.
• Demonstrate mastery of all Madison Reed services and step in behind the chair as needed.
• Coordinate district support, training new managers, and remote/local visits as required.
• Achieve monthly sales goals and KPIs including retail, services, and memberships.
• Maintain cleanliness, merchandising, inventory, and asset security.
• Coach and develop team members to maximize guest satisfaction and performance.
• Own recruiting, interviewing, onboarding, performance management, and training.
• Manage schedules based on forecasts and labor laws, budgets, and breaks.
