Job summary

Madison Reed is seeking a Licensed Colorist to join our Hair Color Bar. You will focus on consultations, delivering top-quality color and styling services, and ensuring guest satisfaction through expert care and personalized recommendations.

The role emphasizes teamwork, timely service, and helping guests choose products and memberships, with compensation comprising base hourly pay, commissions, and tips. Training and advancement opportunities are available at peak times.

Qualifications

• Active cosmetology license in the state where applying.
• 1+ year of experience as a colorist behind the chair in a salon environment.
• Effective communication, strong problem solving and people skills in a fast-paced retail/salon setting.
• Comfortable operating point of sale systems.
• Fluency in English.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate and develop teamwork to provide a guest experience aligned with our values.
• Provide consultations and all menu services, including shampoos, styling, and chemical services to high standards.
• Be attentive to guest needs to help select products and color while staying on time for bookings.
• Contribute to achieving monthly sales goals and KPIs (retail, services, memberships).
• Ensure Hair Color Bar meets cleanliness, merchandising, inventory and asset security standards.
• Adhere to Madison Reed systems, policies and procedures.
• Drive Hair Color Bar revenue through increased service tickets and memberships.
• Grow with ongoing training and stay updated on MR products.
• Support the training and development of Assistant Colorists.
