Job summary

SCADD in New London, CT is seeking a Licensed Counselor to join our transitional treatment program, providing individualized counseling and case management to clients on the path to recovery. You will conduct initial assessments, develop treatment plans, deliver crisis intervention, and coordinate services with community resources in a collaborative, multidisciplinary setting.

Monday–Friday schedule with no nights or weekends.

Qualifications

• Clinical licensure and ability to document accurately.
• Experience with assessment, treatment planning, and crisis intervention.
• Commitment to trauma-informed care and recovery-oriented practice.
• Ability to work independently and within a multidisciplinary team.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct clinical services in a transitional treatment program.
• Conduct initial assessments and formulate individualized treatment plans.
• Coordinate case management and discharge planning.
• Provide crisis intervention during distress.
• Educate clients on substance use disorders and recovery resources.
• Document progress notes, referrals, and incident reports on time.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary team to adjust treatment plans.
• Provide counseling for family members as appropriate.
