Rehab Without Walls Neuro Rehabilitation in Austin, TX is hiring a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) to support individuals with neurological injuries in a home and community setting. You will provide therapeutic interventions to promote emotional and social adjustment and help navigate community resources.

Requirements include an LCSW with state licensure, 1+ year rehab experience, BLS/CPR, and ability to assist patients facing brain or spinal cord injuries.

Qualifications

• Master's Degree in Clinical Social Work (LCSW).
• Current Licensed Clinical Social Worker Licensure in the state of practice.
• Minimum of one year experience in a rehabilitation setting serving individuals with neurological injuries.
• Current BLS (Basic Life Support) First Aid and CPR certification required.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds and up to 100 pounds with safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Performs comprehensive evaluations of social, emotional and support needs of patients and families.
• Sets measurable objectives with rehab team.
• Assists health team in understanding social and emotional factors affecting patients' health.
• Instructs/counsels patients and families in coping with illness-related social and emotional responses.
• Participates in care coordination and identifies community resources to meet patient needs.

Rehab Without Walls is hiring a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) to join our Home & Community Rehabilitation team in Austin, TX!

Who we are looking for:

• We\'re seeking an experienced LCSW to support individuals with neurological injuries such as stroke and traumatic brain injury (TBI)
• In this vital role, you\'ll provide therapeutic interventions to promote emotional and social adjustment, and community resource navigation
• Prefer 2+ years of experience with knowledge of neurological injuries and/or medical social work background

Responsibilities

What you will do: (responsibilities listed are included but not limited to)

• Performs comprehensive evaluations, assessing the social, emotional and support needs of the patients and their families
• Sets measurable objectives that are formulated in conjunction with the rehab team
• Assists the physician and other health team members in understanding the significant social and emotional factors related to the patient\'s health problems
• Instructs/counsels' patients and families in treating and coping with social and emotional response connected with illnesses
• Participates in care coordination activities and acts as a resource to other health team members in the identification and resolution of patient needs
• Identifies and assists the patient and/or family to utilize appropriate community resources to achieve measurable objectives

Qualifications

What you\'ll need:

• Master\'s Degree in Clinical Social Work (LCSW)
• Current Licensed Clinical Social Worker Licensure in the state of practice
• Minimum of one year experience in a rehabilitation setting serving individuals who have experienced a traumatic brain injury, spinal cord injury or acute diagnosis
• Current BLS (Basic Life Support) First Aid and CPR certification required
• Ability to lift 50 pounds
• Moving, lifting, or transferring of patients which may involve lifting of up to 100 pounds following safety procedures
• Duties require fine motor skills, visual acuity, and walking/ standing for extended periods
• Additional physical requirements include pushing/pulling, bending/stooping, reaching, kneeling, and positioning frequently at times
