Job summary

Rehab Without Walls Neuro Rehabilitation in Austin, TX, is hiring a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) to join our Home & Community Rehabilitation team. You will provide therapeutic interventions for individuals with neurological injuries, supporting emotional and social adjustment and community resource navigation.

We offer a flexible schedule, paid hourly, no weekends or holidays, drive-time reimbursement, and a collaborative team with growth opportunities and educational programs.

Qualifications

• Master's Degree in Clinical Social Work (LCSW) required.
• Current LCSW licensure in the state of practice.
• Minimum 1 year experience in rehabilitation handling neurological injuries or TBI/SCI.
• Current BLS/CPR certification.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and assist with patient transfer.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive evaluations of patients and families.
• Set measurable objectives with rehab team.
• Assist physicians in understanding social/emotional factors affecting health.
• Counsel patients and families on coping with illness.
• Participate in care coordination and resource identification.

Rehab Without Walls is hiring a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) to join our Home & Community Rehabilitation team in Austin,TX!

Who we are looking for:

• We're seeking an experienced LCSW to support individuals with neurological injuries such as stroke and traumatic brain injury (TBI)
• In this vital role, you'll providetherapeutic interventions to promote emotional and social adjustment, and community resource navigation
• Prefer 2+ years of experience with knowledge of neurological injuries and/or medical social work background

Responsibilities

What you will do: (responsibilities listed are included but not limited to)

• Performs comprehensive evaluations, assessing the social, emotional and support needs of the patients and their families
• Sets measurable objectives that are formulated in conjunction with the rehab team
• Assists the physician and other health team members in understanding the significant social and emotional factors related to the patient's health problems
• Instructs/counsels’ patients and families in treating and coping with social and emotional response connected with illnesses
• Participates in care coordination activities and acts as a resource to other health team members in the identification and resolution of patient needs
• Identifies and assists the patient and/or family to utilize appropriate community resources to achieve measurable objectives

Qualifications

What you’ll need:

• Master's Degree in Clinical Social Work (LCSW)
• Current Licensed Clinical Social Worker Licensure in the state of practice
• Minimum of one year experience in a rehabilitation setting serving individuals who have experienced a traumatic brain injury, spinal cord injury or acute diagnosis
• Current BLS (Basic Life Support) First Aid and CPR certification required
• Ability to lift 50 pounds
• Moving, lifting, or transferring of patients which may involve lifting of up to 100 pounds following safety procedures
• Duties require fine motor skills, visual acuity,and walking/standing for extended periods
• Additional physical requirements include pushing/pulling, bending/stooping, reaching, kneeling, and positioning frequently at times
